9 alternative routes to reach Konkan

NAVI MUMBAI: To ease traffic congestion, the area organization and movement wing of Raigad have engaged drivers heading towards the Konkan coast to utilize nine optional routes during this Ganeshotsav.

Assistance centres have been introduced at Hamarapur, Kandalpada and Wakanphata. “Blockade has been set up at a stretch of 7-8 km in the middle of Pen and Wadkhalnaka and past to streamline the movement stream,” M R Mhatre, Raigad activity in-control told TOI.

For the Mumbai Goa Roadway, the option route is Vashi-Palm Shoreline Street Uran Phata-Kharpada-Vadkhal-Mahad. Other optional routes by means of the Mumbai-Pune Freeway are Khalapur toll court Pen-Mahad, Khalapur-Pali Phata-Wakan-Mangaon-Mahad, Satara-Umbaj-Patan-Chiplun, Satara-Karad-Kolhapur-Ambaghat-Ratnagiri, Satara-Karad-Kolhapur-Gaganbawada-Kankavli, Satara-Karad-Kolhapur-Amboli-Sawantwadi, Satara-Karad-Kolhapur-Radhanagari-Kankavli.
