DOVER, DE, June 05, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Today, U.S. Term Limits announces that Terrell A. Williams has agreed to serve as Delaware State Co-Chair for U.S. Term Limits. Williams brings a depth of public service, legal expertise, and constitutional understanding to the effort to enact congressional term limits and restore accountability in Washington, D.C. He believes Delaware can play a key role in advancing one of the nation’s most widely supported government reforms.
“I am honored to serve as Delaware State Co-Chair for U.S. Term Limits and help advance this important effort,” said Williams. “Americans across the political spectrum are frustrated with career politicians and the dysfunction that has become normalized in Washington. Congressional term limits are a common-sense reform that can help restore trust, accountability, and citizen leadership in government.”
“When government becomes more focused on preserving political power than serving the people, reform becomes necessary,” continued Williams. “The Constitution provides the states with a pathway to act, and Delaware has the opportunity to help lead the nation toward meaningful change. Our citizens deserve fresh perspectives, responsive leadership, and representatives who remain connected to the people they serve.”
“Delaware can stand at the forefront of restoring accountability and confidence in our federal government,” concluded Williams.
Williams is a federal civil service professional, civil rights advocate, legal scholar, educator, and military veteran. He serves with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, where he works to protect the civil rights of individuals through the enforcement of federal laws and constitutional safeguards. In addition, he serves as an Adjunct Professor at both Lincoln University and Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, helping prepare future legal professionals for the ethical and practical demands of the profession.
A Delaware resident for more than a decade, Williams remains actively engaged in the Middletown, Odessa, and Townsend communities. He earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and also holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Relations from Cheyney University. Williams is also a proud veteran who honorably served in the United States Army and the Pennsylvania National Guard.
“We are honored to have Terrell Williams helping lead our efforts in Delaware,” said Philip Blumel, President of U.S. Term Limits. “His background in public service, civil rights, education, and constitutional law make him an outstanding advocate for congressional term limits. Terrell understands the importance of accountability in government, and we are confident his leadership will help build strong momentum for term limits reform in Delaware.”
U.S. Term Limits is the largest grassroots term limits advocacy group in the country. The organization connects term limits supporters with their legislators and works to pass term limits at all levels of government, particularly for the U.S. Congress. Find out more at termlimits.org.
